Petoskey Breakers Tryout Results

(Please read all of this information.)

The PYSA is excited to announce that all players who attended tryouts this week, or were unable to attend but made prior arrangements, have earned a roster spot. Those players who have been asked to play with a different team then which they tried out for have been notified and accepted the invitation. The team roster sizes are each at their respective MSYSA maximum:

u15 = 18 players

u16 = 18 players

u19 Open = 22 players

Mandatory Parent Organizational Meeting - Monday, June 29th 7:00 PM @ Click Road

Each family must be represented. The MSPSP registration form players received at tryouts must be submitted along with the remaining team balance of $165 for returning PYSA players and $220 for players that are new to the PYSA. (All u15 players will be wearing their Adidas jerseys from last season). All checks should be payable to the Petoskey Breakers. If you can not attend this meeting you must contact Zach Jonker or Laura Flickema and turn in your form and money prior to Monday night. We will also be discussing the philosophy of the program and the practice and game schedule for the fall.

Please note that the MSYSA allows u16 teams and above to roster 22 players. These teams still need a league and tournament game roster of 18 players, but all 22 players can participate in the tournament and rotate games. The plan for the u19 Open team is to designate a group of 11-15 players by September 1st as part of the permanent roster and they will always have a game roster spot as long as they stay in good standing with the team. Players not on the permanent roster will be rotated through league and tournament games based on same criteria as listed above. Please note that you may be signing up to play on a team in which you only participate in 1/4-1/2 the games.

Finally, all Breakers players have the opportunity to receive free individual skill and fitness training with Katie Johnson every Tuesday and Thursday evening July 7th-August 6th from 7:00-8:15 PM at Click Road. Please take advantage of this great opportunity.
