Petoskey Breakers Tryout Results
(Please read all of this information.)
The PYSA would like to thank all of the players who participated in the Petoskey Breakers tryouts. As a result of low numbers at the u15 tryout, the u15 and u16 teams were combined. Players not listed below still have the opportunity to be a reserve player and train with the team throughout the season. Reserve players are obligated to pay only the PYSA registration fee and half of the training fee.

Mandatory Parent Organizational Meeting - Monday, June 28th 7:00 PM @ Click Road
Each family must be represented. The MSPSP registration form players received at tryouts must be submitted along with the remaining team balance of $165 for returning PYSA players and $220 for players that are new to the PYSA. All checks should be payable to the Petoskey Breakers. If you can not attend this meeting you must contact Trish Lamberti or Aaron Riley and turn in your form and money prior to Monday night. All forms and complete payment is due at this meeting. Players not submitting these requirements may forfeit their roster spot. We will also be discussing the philosophy of the program and the practice and game schedule for the fall.
Please note that the MSYSA allows u16 teams and above to roster 22 players. These teams still need a league and tournament game roster of 18 players, but all 22 players can participate in the tournament and rotate games. The plan for both teams is to designate a group of 11-15 players by September 1st as part of the permanent roster and they will always have a game roster spot as long as they stay in good standing with the team. These players will be identified by their:
Overall technical ability and tactical knowledge
Commitment to attending every Breakers function that does not interfere with school sports or other extra-curricular activities
Fitness level when practice begins in August
Players not on the permanent roster will be rotated through league and tournament games based on same criteria as listed above. Please note that you may be signing up to play on a team in which you only participate in 1/4-1/2 the games.
Finally, all Breakers players have the opportunity to receive free individual skill and fitness training with Katie Johnson every Tuesday and Thursday evening July 13th-August 5th from 7:00-8:15 PM at Click Road. Please take advantage of this great opportunity.
